[an error occurred while processing this directive][an error occurred while processing this directive] The 35th Session of the World Heritage Committee was held in Paris, France from 19 to 29 of June, 2011. This is a return to the headquarters. The last time that a session was held in Paris was in 2003, during the 27th session of the committee.

Members of the World Heritage Committee expected to attend the 35th session include Australia, Bahrain, Barbados, Brazil, Cambodia, China, Egypt, Estonia, Ethiopia, France, Iraq, Jordan, Mali, Mexico, Nigeria, Russian Federation, South Africa, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand and United Arab Emirates. The session will be chaired by Bahrain. Representatives from Barbados, Cambodia, Estonia, South Africa and Switzerland will function as vice-chairpersons while the representative from Mali will act as rapporteur.

Forty-two sites have been nominated for consideration to be inscribed as World Heritage Sites. The following are the nominees:
