India's World Heritage Sites
India ratified the World Heritage Convention on 14 November, 1977. As of August 2010, it has 27 World Heritage Sites, of which 22 are in the cultural category and 5 in the natural category. India also has another 31 sites on the World Heritage Tentative List.
