 Jongmyo Shrine, South Korea
Jongmyo Shrine is a Confucian royal shrine in South Korea that has been acclaimed as a cultural heritage site. It is the oldest royal Confucian shrine that continues to observe ritual ceremonies established since the 14th century. Such shrines used to exist during the Three Kingdom of Korea period. Today only the shrines of the rulers of Joseon remain.

Jongmyo Shrine was inscribed as a World Heritage Site during the 19th session of the World Heritage Committee in Berlin, Germany, 4 - 9 December, 1995.
