Laurisilva of Madeira is a natural World Heritage Site on the island of Madeira. The inscription celebrates the laurel forest that is widespread in Madeira.
The laurel forest of Madeira is believed to the the largest surviving such forest in the world. 90% of it is still primary forest. The forest is home to many endemic species of plants and wildlife.

Laurisilva of Madeira was inscribed as a World Heritage Site during the 23rd session of the World Heritage Committee in Marrakesh, Morocco, on 29 November - 4 December, 1999.
