Roman Theatre and its Surroundings and the Triumphal Arch of Orange, France, are some of the best preserved ancient Roman theatres in the world. They were built between AD 10 and AD 25 in Orange, in the Rhône Valley.

The Triumphal Arch of Orange is one of the most beautiful and best preserved of its kind. It is an excellent example of the triumphal arches built during the reign of Emperor Augustus in the provinces. The arch is decorated with low reliefs commemorating the establishment of the Pax Romana.

Roman Theatre and its Surroundings and the Triumphal Arch of Orange was inscribed as a World Heritage Site during the 31st session of the World Heritage Committee which met in Christchurch, New Zealand, on 23 June to 2 July, 2007.
